Chee Soo in Coventry

Over 100 T’ai Chi Ch’uan students from all over the world gathered in Coventry every day this week. They are members and instructors from the International Taoist Society and have been invited to an annual summer workshop with Master Chee Soo at Alderman Callow School, Canley, Coventry. Master Soo, 71, is one of the world’s top instructors for health and self-defence arts and has written five books on the subject of T’ai Chi Ch’uan. 26th July 1990

Chee Soo brought Tai Chi to the Midlands back in the 1980s. He taught evening classes in Coventry at the Alderman Callow school, now called Westwood academy, and he lived in Charter Avenue in Canley. He also taught weekend Course and an Easter and Summer Course lasting three weeks including Tai Chi, Feng Shou kung fu and Health and Massage.
